When applying for a visitor visa officers take into consideration the following points:
- Ties to home country
- Employment ties
- Previous travel history
- Family ties in Canada
- Purpose of travel
- Financial abilities
If you have been previously refused a visitor visa, we highly recommend accessing the case notes to understand the officer’s concerns before reapplying.
Update: Due to covid-19 Visitors are not allowed to Canada for discretionary purposes. Only direct family members ( spouses, parents, children) are able to travel to Canada at this time.
If you are a family member of a Canadian citizen, Permanent resident or foreign national you might be able to come to Canada with a signed Statutory Declaration
